Seven words of its Web site
Seven. It's just a number like any other, but seem to come on a fairly regular basis. There are Seven Wonders World, The Seven Deadly Sins and the Seven Dwarfs: Happy, Sneezy, Sleepy, Bashful, Doc, Dopey, and my personal favorite, Grumpy.
The Phone numbers are seven digits, and say the best brand name must be no more than seven letters. Seven is a magic number appears as the brain average human can only pick seven things at once. Interestingly, my wife says I have two problems I have, regardless of seven, but that's another story.
So I've been thinking, what are the seven most important words associated with Web marketing. I'll give you a hint: the search engine, and optimization not make the cut.
So what words make the list? What are the seven words that will make your vision website worth?
Words You can move
According to someone's account is 171 476 entries in the Oxford English Dictionary, plus another 47 156 words that have fallen from grace. This of course does not count the 9,500 additional permutations that do not deserve their attention.
Fifty percent of these words are nouns, one hundred twenty-five are adjectives, and verbs are 14.285%, with the remainder composed of all those other things, the purpose of most of us have long forgotten.
Others can find fault with these numbers, but no matter what the total is a lot of words. Of the hundreds of thousands of words to choose from, the average person recognizes less than ten percent, whereas the average adolescent seems to only be able to handle about half of that amount, of course, has no slang, jargon IM, or increasingly popular choice of four letters.
Why the hell are there so many words, if all refuse to use them. I say why waste all those words in perfect English teachers and university professors. By the way, say that swearing is the refuge of the feeble-minded people who can not express themselves in a more articulate, but to be honest, I really do not give a damn.
Here's the thing, the words have meaning and impact, and provide the emotional context of our communications, which adds subtlety and nuance through its delivery by the tone, cadence, and gesture.
So as important as the words are, how they are delivered is even more important.
What is Web Site Design really about
The other day I was listening to a local radio station all-news. It is mostly read things scam and cable services that are repeated one and-more as a kind of psychological torture, but they do provide traffic reports on a regular basis nauseating. You just have to wait ten minutes to repeat everything, so if you want to hear what the traffic snafus to avoid just wait a few minutes, but here's the problem: speakers speak so fast that no matter how much you concentrate, you can never get the specific information you need, and if you are driving you have other things to consider, like the idiot in the Hummer you just cut.
None of these people, I think I used a period, not to mention a semicolon or a comma. Or bladder are very small and are under pressure to finish quickly, or are late for their morning pilates class. They seem so determined to run the no commercial content delivered in an appropriate manner. And your website just might have the same problem.
Too much information is as bad as not enough. Information excess leads to the anxiety of the information, the buyer's remorse, inferior, unattainable expectations, and purchase-decision paralysis.
Web site owners have said that visitors do not expect anything, they are impatient, and you have to get to the point quickly, make the pitch and close the deal and that simply will not work with any sophisticated product or service.
Your website needs an introduction to slow people down so they hear what he has to say, and you have to say something worth listening to.
Web page design is more of design, markup language, and technical wizardry. Design web site is about communication, it is to transform advertising into the content, and content into an experience that viewers will remember.
Seven Words to remember
1. Communication
People always ask us what is wrong with their websites, and the answer in most cases can be summarized in a quote from the movie "Cool Hand Luke" (1967): "What we have here is a lack of communication." Communication is key success, and that applies not only to your website, applies to almost everything you do, both inside and outside his business life.
If your website does not communicate, both rational and emotional, if not provide the psychological and emotional context of your marketing message, then exactly what you are doing?
2. Audience
I can not think of many people who really like is sold. In fact, customers sometimes get so annoyed by sales tactics that end up not buying what came specifically to your site to buy.
The solution of the problem is not simply a matter of changing your perspective, the average buyer is predisposed to reject and ignore high-pressure tactics, and sales pitches senseless. So instead of treating customers as customers, trying to treat them as an audience. The public wants to do, enlightened, and entertained. And that's the most effective way to make an impact on sales.
3. Focus
With Too often websites are flooding their web audiences with facts, figures, statistics, and an endless list of features, benefits, options and anything else the department Sales can think of to throw in. All this just confuses people.
Focus your message in the most important elements of what he has to say. If your site can be integrated singular idea in mind of the audience, then it has done its job.
4. Language
The words used and the way that provides meaning together, but to inform the personality, they provide mental sound bites, and do everything you are saying, it is worth remembering.
Language is one of the elements Critics of the "voice", the ability to convey the personality and writing without a "voice" is instantly forgettable.
5. Performance
Even the most eloquent prose could be lost at birth stunned. Communication is more than words, is a combination of language, style, personality and performance.
Things are seldom what they seem. Even our memories are a stylized versions of what we have experienced. Creating a memorable impression management is on the viewer's experience and providing the right verbal and nonverbal do what they say memorable.
6. Personality
Every business has a personality. The first problem is, few mid-sized companies increasingly trying to manage that person and as a result, the forms Purchase their own public opinion. And this view is often the way you want to be considered.
The second problem is companies either do not have a firm grasp they really are, or they know and are afraid of their promotion. If the identity of your company is not worth promoting, it's time to think what it is, and change. The conclusion is a company without personality is a company without an image, and that makes you instantly forget.
7. Psychology
The most important feature can offer your audience is the psychological satisfaction, not great discounts, fast service, or more bells and whistles.
The real reason people buy things is that it makes them feel something. Cosmetics that women feel attractive or sexy, while cars make men feel they have achieved some level of status. Even services that people feel important, as in "I have an uncle who does that for me." Finding the hot psychological marketing and promotion of shit in a consistent and continuous should be your main marketing goal. All these features and benefits are just the excuse for purchase, not reason.
The Web is becoming a video environment
Web sites are not just marketing collateral, no that prospectuses are digital. They are a new display that requires specialized communication skills, and knowledge of how best to use the medium.
You can be a big seller, and no one knows your business like you. You may even be the ability to deliver speeches at conventions and seminars, but effective action against a camera is a different ball game, and for most people is way out of their comfort zone, let alone their skill level.
The same methods old who used to work not work anymore. You no longer compete with just the company down the street, you are competing with the world.
Web-en companies can never really meet customers face to face, or even talk to them on the phone, so it is essential that use marketing methods presentation offered a memorable experience.
